Autism warrior for my sister

Being an autism warrior and saving my sister

I am posting this pic of my sister Cynthia and I. Cynthia has autism and epilepsy. I was finally able to have her diagnosed at age 40. Cynthia’s late diagnosis, her advanced neurological issues have made it extremely difficult to stabilize her epilepsy and the neurological aspects of her autism.

I continue to fight this battle for her. I have an excellent team of caretakers and am working hard with top neurologists to get her stable and be the best that she can be.

The love I have for my sister motivates me every day to be a better person and to fight for her and others afflicted with autism.

THE NEUROLOGY OF AUTISM

As an autism warrior for my sister Cynthia, I have fought the medical community for 20 years to have autism recognized as a neurological condition. Primarily to save my sister’s life, but to help educate others as well. It has been a very tough battle.

I am happy to report a large portion of that battle is being won. With a $60 million capital investment Dr. Suzanne Goh, and Cortica Care, her neurologically based research and technology based clinics are gaining traction to expand their autism and neurodevelopment disabilities treatment and diagnosis clinics nationwide.

Cortica Announces $60 Million Financing to Accelerate National Access to Comprehensive Autism Care Model

Dr Suzanne Goh is one of the first neurologists to diagnose and treat autism and developmental disabilities from a neurological standpoint.

Her research is very clear. Up to 80% of people with developmental disabilities have irregularities in their EEG, as many as 60% are having undiagnosed seizures. Seizures can kill. Get tested. If your loved one has autism or a DD, get a video EEG.

The goal is to educate your doctors and your loved ones. Save lives.
