06 Dec My Gallery Hoshoni
I opened my gallery Hoshoni in NYC at the tail end of the 80″s and kept it flowing for over 20 years. My goal was to create an interior, inspired by my love of New Mexico that also felt like an oasis of calm in the busy streets of New York. My shop was located in the hip east village that I loved. I showcased art, crafts, furniture, home furnishings and jewelry from New Mexico. I made a commitment in the shop to sell folk art, outside art, recycled art and nothing plastic or artificial. I loved products made from timber, beeswax, ceramics, birch bark, and recycled metal. Striving to create a retail environment that represented a new way of looking at the world through products made only of natural materials.Ahead of my time then now I dream to one day open another shop in Santa Fe New Mexico. Wait for it.
